Yuki Kawauchi is one of the most experienced elite marathon runners the world has ever seen. He holds the Guinness World Record for the most marathons run in 2:20 or faster, an astounding 104 times. With his recent finish time of 2:13:18 at the London Marathon over the weekend, he has now completed 105 marathons at that pace!

Last weekend, the Japanese runner completed the London Marathon from the mass start, not the elite start. Kawauchi mentioned on Twitter that there was a glitch, and he was unable to start with the professional runners.

Despite this setback, he finished 11th overall and first in the mass start. Kawauchi also earned a six-star finisher medal for the World Marathon Majors in London.

The 36 years old Japanese runner previously won the Boston Marathon in 2018 with a time of 2:15:54, and his personal best is 2:07:27.
